Compensation: $50,000 - $56,000 per year DOE - Current benefits offered are Paid Leave (PL), 401K Retirement Plan, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Flex Spending Plan.

DESCRIPTION:

Highly respected full service Environmental Consulting firm providing a wide range of environmental consulting, landscape architecture, and environmental planning services to local governments, public agencies, and private clients; actively seeks a environmental consulting industry experienced Environmental Planner/ Regulatory Specialist to join our Roseville, CA office.

The successful candidate will be familiar with environmental regulations including NEPA, CEQA, FESA and CESA, as well as federal and state protected species, and discretionary permitting through ACOE, CDFW, and USFWS. Position requires the ability to rapidly and accurately comprehend project components and potential issues relevant to regulatory compliance and potential effects to natural resources and other environmental factors, to interact professionally with clients and technical staff, and to identify solutions to meet client needs. Successful candidates must be able to prepare technical sections of environmental documents, work in multi-resource groups, collaborate among internal team members and agency staff, and operate in an environment of tight schedules and limited budgets. Periodic travel and field work will be required.

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience in wildlife biology, fisheries, ecology, natural resource planning, or related field. Experience with the northern California ecosystems is a must.

Responsibilities: Preparation of technical sections and reports and conducting resource impact analysis in support of CEQA/NEPA analyses, State and Federal regulatory permit applications, development of conceptual and final mitigation plans, mitigation feasibility studies, and business development support.

This unique multidisciplinary mix of expertise allows us to integrate human uses, aesthetics, and functionality in our projects with key environmental considerations such as treatment of stormwater runoff, habitat and special status species preservation, green house gas reduction, and water conservation.

Our firm provides the full range of project cycle services from initial concept, public input facilitation, and detail design through cost estimating, construction drawings, specifications, bid coordination, construction oversight, CEQA/NEPA environmental documents, permitting, and monitoring.
